I posted this ray for sale and had received comment from a bro that the ray is sick due to the bloated body. This is due to indigestive system. He had previously commented to the previous buyer i bought this ray from when he saw the ray at his place. Reason i am selling is due to i had change of project to black rays. Can some ray experts comment? I had withdrawn the sale thread of this ray now to avoid any dispute. Thx==comments==
This ray does look unusually rounded thick. How long have u kept it? Have u try starving it to see if it goes back to normal?
>Brought back last Sunday. First day never eat. Start to eat the following days. But also lose out to my big rays.
>1st time heard about bloated ray is sick. Thought that sick ray is those can see the bone due to not eating. Not blaming anyone but just want to learn from here. Intend to keep the ray and see how he progress.
>I ever bought a BDleo that is bloated with slight burnt marks just like the one you posted, seller said eat too full, burnt marks he says bitten by bigger rays which i dont see any other rays in his house. being the newbie ray keeper that I am, I took the risk and bought it. 3 days later it died.....
Sick or not? Until today I am still not sure. Any seniors can comment?
>Not a ray keeper but is your ray female or male? Any chance its pregnant?
>Originally Posted by Cedric Not a ray keeper but is your ray female or male? Any chance its pregnant? no lah bro. this ray is only 8" and is a male
>Bro in my opinion your ray looks healthy as it can be..
Just try to starve it a few days and see if it cuts down in size..
From wat i know.. Rays have high metabolic rate..
Meaning they will digest faster then you think.
So if its bloated due to eating too much.. I think its quite impossible..
Just my 2 cents..
>Ya maintain good water and monitor a few days without feeding..
>could you tell us how the ray is doing now and take a few more pics for comparison? also how are its bowell movements?
